Viget Labs - We’re Hiring (January 2007)

Calling all talented Web Designers, Web Developers, Web Project Managers, and other talented web folks in the Washington, D.C. area. Viget Labs is hiring!

As you may recall, I signed on with Viget Labs back in November 2006. It’s one of the best decisions I’ve made in a long time. Things have gone well thus far. The location, environment, culture, work, and people are all great.

Viget’s clientele is quite diverse, ranging from Britney Spears and Squidoo.com to local businesses and non-profits. A growing part of our business is working with online start-ups, so if you are into the whole social networking and “Web 2.0″ craze, the likelihood is that you are going to be managing, developing, or designing those types of projects.

Our greatest need right now is in the area of Project Managers. While we’d love to bring on someone who has a strong web background (i.e., specific web experience), that’s not an absolute pre-requisite. If you can pick things up quickly, the door is open to you.

We also are looking to add someone to my group (Strategy and Online Marketing). We probably would be looking to hire on more of a junior person for this role but definitely are interested in chatting with all qualified candidates. Your job in the Strategy and Online Marketing group would include helping clients with SEO, Search Engine Marketing, Web Analytics, Keyword Analysis, business positioning, and other related work. Plus you’d get to work with me ;-).

Please contact me if interested…and feel free to pass the word along to family, friends, and colleagues.

Is there any flexibility in this requirement for the Marketing/Communications Specialist position (http://www.viget.com/careers-details.html?j=1014) listed on the website?

“…you will work on a PC.”

That could be a deal breaker for me ;)

How about “…you will work on a Windows OS (XP or Vista) and utilize a ton of MS Office apps on your company bought, brand spanking new, beautifully designed, 17-in MacBookPro.”

That has a nice ring to it! :)

I have one of those “beautifully designed” MacBook Pros, but it’s not very durable.

@Doug: Done. Just come work here already. We need help.

@Brody: Yeah, I read your post about your special backpack for your Mac. I also liked your thoughts on the iPhone…wait a couple of generations, then buy.
