TNNI ‘07 - Web 2.0 for Biz and Gov’t
The New New Internet returns on November 1st to the Washington, D.C. area with a larger venue and a more accomplished line-up of speakers. As the East Coast’s largest Web 2.0 conference, focused on business and government, this year’s conference is set to be informative and a great place to connect.
I’m particularly looking forward to hearing Tim Ferriss’ keynote at lunch. Author of the bestselling Four Hour Work Week, Ferriss understands the power and danger of the web.
Ferriss used the web and particularly bloggers to help quickly propel his book up the Amazon charts and eventually onto the NYT bestseller list. He has a number of interesting thoughts on how to use the web to test business ideas.
He also protects himself from the problematic always-on nature of the web. He shares his experiences on limiting information consumption, e-mail, and more generally, how to be productive in today’s environment.
There’s a long list of distinguished speakers and panelists, including Om Malik (Gigaom), James Surowiecki (author, The Wisdom of Crowds), entrepreneur Ryan Carson (Carsonified!), venture capitalist Brad Feld (Feld Thoughts), the ever lively Gary Vaynerchuk (Winelibrary TV), and many more.
The standard cost for the all day event is $595…but you can automatically get $200 off by using promo code “technosight” when you register. And of course, if you are going, feel free to let me know…see you November 1st.
