Pete, I said you were on the edge...not that you've fallen off! BTW, I addressed the response to your comment above but it seems you missed that, as I missed your "hyperbolic" comment the first time around. So, we are now even ;-).

Ken,

Well, a few points. First, I said further down the article that "calling Edgeio an Ebay killer is a bit hyperbolic". It's not an eBay killer, but the (sensationalist?) title gives some clues as to where I'm trying to go with the rest of the post, essentially saying that the walled gardens are being challenged by decentralization. And you're right that my view of CoComment is fairly myopic and self-serving - I responded to your comment here:

http://mashable.com/2006/02/12/cocomment-is-the-best-web-20-service-launched-this-year/#1431

I also attempted to address the more general points about building for early adopters (versus mainstream audiences) and the defensibility of Edgeio's business model:

http://mashable.com/2006/02/12/edgeio-mikes-little-ebay-killer/#1433

Hopefully that will assure you that I haven't suddenly fallen off the edge. Though the titles may seem sensationalist, I think the posts themselves are fairly well reasoned.
